The Traveling Wilburys
George Harrison and Jeff Lyn thought it would
be a good idea to form a band with their mates and their mates
just happened to be Bob Dylan, Tom Petty and Roy Orbison.
They called themselves The Traveling Wilburys and what we
get is a room full of serious, serious talent. Can you imagine
a jamming session with these guys? I believe the idea was
to have some fun, but these guys having fun means the creation
of truly superb music. The Traveling Wilburys are on my list
of music greats because each individual is a great artist,
but together they are immense. I wish a few big name talents
would get together today and have some fun. Leave their egos
at the door and just see what they come up with. The whole
concept of The Traveling Wilburys excites me to the core...
