The Cranberries
Dolores O'Riordan has the most individual vocal
style I have heard, and that includes Bob Dylan. I love her
vocals. I have to stop whatever I am doing and listen and
I have never been disappointed. The Cranberries songs are
statements, often political and often delivered in snarling
protest by Dolores O'Riordan, her voice marinated in the seductive
Irish brogue of a girl who will kiss with passion intended
as torture... Not only do I love her vocals, but I am deeply
attracted to the quality of her soul. She is utterly independant,
uniquely individual and the complete artist. In fact, she
is the art and her art is an inspiration. The songs are her
voice and her heart and soul are exposed. That is why The
Cranberries are music greats... Because they are a strong,
clear voice expressing the heart beat of truth banged on a
drum that reaches the four corners of your soul...
