Michael Jackson
Michael Jackson is unique. He is a one off.
His sublime talent is truly extraordinary. It is one thing
to experience a performance by a music legend and then you
find yourself transported to another plain of reality and
experience the outrageous musical talent that was Michael
Jackson. Michael Jackson was the embodiment of rhythm and
harmony, raw emotion and instinctive, imaginative, radical
vocals that excite and provoke all our senses. And, damn me,
the guy can write. His lyrics are poetry that point fingers
at himself, ourselves, society and the world and his words
hit the mark. Look, I've tried to offer video's of all the
featured music greats that reflect why I have included them
on this website. With Michael Jackson I am seriously spoilt
for choice. I would be happy to offer you all his work. Billie
Jean, She's Out Of My Life, Black and White are a few amongst
my favourites, but Michael's 1988 live performance of Man
In The Mirror below is, to me, self explanatory as to why
Michael is truly an exceptional music great. His performance
below leaves me breathless. It is raw and it's perfection...
He begins alone on an empty stage and holds the star-studded
audience loaded with music legends in the palm of his hand
and then proceeds to simply stun them with brilliance...
Michael Jackson died on the 25th of June 2009
at the age of 50. When an individual dies they leave a hole
in the lives of those they leave behind: Michael Jackson leaves
a very big hole in the whole world and a big hole in my heart....
Please take a moment to view the video linked below and experience
true genius... Micheal didn't write the Man In The Mirror,
but I leave you with the words of that brilliant song: "If
you want the world to be a better place take a look at yourself
and make the change..."
